Rêvasserie came to be during a crazy time in 2020 when I couldn't pursue my work as a wedding photographer. I needed a creative outlet, so I started making candles just for myself. It turned out to be therapeutic and fulfilling, and soon enough, people were asking to buy them! That's when I realized I could share my passion for creating beautiful candles with the world. The inspiration behind our unique line of candles comes from a desire to add a touch of enchantment and beauty to everyday life.

Where do you source your materials and ingredients for your candles?

We take great pride in using high-quality materials and ingredients for our candles. We source them from trusted local suppliers who share our values of sustainability and ethical practices. Supporting local businesses and using eco-friendly materials are important aspects of our sourcing process.

What type of wax do you use in your candles?

Our candles are made using eco-friendly soy wax. Soy wax is a renewable resource derived from soybeans, making it a sustainable choice. It also has the benefit of providing a clean and long-lasting burn.

What inspired the name of your brand and the meaning behind it?

The name "Rêvasserie" was actually inspired by our previous name, Rêverie Candles. However, as a year of personal growth unfolded, I felt that the word "reverie" had become quite commonly used in the industry, and it no longer resonated with the brand I envisioned. It was a transformative period for me, and I wanted my brand to evolve along with my own journey. That's why I decided to rebrand as Rêvasserie, a name that still captures the essence of daydreaming and pleasant thoughts but carries a unique and personal touch. It represents the growth and change I experienced, and I believe it reflects the magical and serene ambiance our candles create.

Can you tell us more about the founder of Rêvasserie?

I'm Kristal, the founder of Rêvasserie. It's ironic that as a photographer, I have a natural inclination to stay behind the scenes and avoid being in front of the camera. However, my love for candles and the art of candle-making led me to create Rêvasserie. It started as a personal hobby, but soon it became a deep passion that I couldn't keep to myself. Pouring my heart and soul into crafting each candle brings me immense joy, and I take pride in sharing them with others. While I may not be ready to step into the spotlight just yet, rest assured that my dedication to creating captivating scents and providing a serene ambiance shines through every candle we offer.

Can you share a bit about the team behind Rêvasserie and their passion for candle-making?

At Rêvasserie, we currently operate as a dynamic team of two — myself and my incredibly supportive husband. While I handle the creative aspects and the  candle-making, he works diligently behind the scenes, assisting me with content creation, shipping, and other essential business tasks. Together, we share a deep passion for candles and a commitment to delivering exceptional products to our valued customers. Our collaboration and shared dedication ensure that every Rêvasserie candle is crafted with love and attention to detail.

How long has Rêvasserie been in business?

Rêvasserie has been in business since 2020. We're still a relatively young brand, but we've grown and learned a lot along the way. It's been an exciting journey, and we're grateful for every moment.
